After reading "Eppefour's" post about NOAA requesting 54 million in funding, I made some phone call's. First let me underscore that Rep Walter Jones (of NC) has voted against this funding. Matter of fact, He IS the LEAD chair trying to get this crap done away with. I will also add that he voted AGAINST the Magnuson Act, that is being used to cut all of our throat's, as we speak!!! The head of the serpent is Ms. Lubicenco, she was appointed by the Obama Adimistration. She was head of the Environmental Defense Fund, she has a huge fundemental "axe" to grind against US. She was appointed, because of contribution's made to the current Adminisration.

I was told by a Congressonal Office what "WE" have to do, if WE want to have any say in this matter is to conact your (or all) Senator's. Reason being, is that their "opinion's" carry far more weight than a Congressman's, something I didn't know. If we sit on our behind's here, "Catch Share's" will become a reality. If that happen's, it simply mean's this; IF YOU cannot AFFORD to BUY "share's" (simular to limited entry system) that will ALLOW YOU to FISH, YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO FISH!!!! By the way, the catch share's can be bought by evironmentalIt's "Super Group's", coporation's, wealthy individual's, etc.... You get it, anyone that has the most cash on hand! It's that simple, no fancy word's here. Time to get off our collective asses and get it done!!!!!!

Read Eppefour's Post!!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED by someone that NMFS put out of business back in the 1990's, ME! They (NOAA, NMFS) CAN and WILL step all over you Right's, if they are allowed too. Back in the 90's, I "owned" many federal permit's that were needed to commercial fish. All of these permit's were applied for by me and granted by NMFS. These permit's today would be worth many, many thousand's of dollar's today (if they were even available at all). The point of this is to point out the word's of a South Alantic Fisheries Official, after over a year of fighting (legally) against the loss of my permit's. He said and I quote, "Frank, get used to it. WE are going to control you guy's, whether by attrition (loss of permit's), size limit's, or poundage. Either way, WE are going to control YOU". Needless to say, after 1.5 years of fighting with my Congessman and Senator (and their lawyer's) his threat's became reality. I was in the right, NMFS admitted that I was in the right, they even encouraged me to keep on fighting because of it. One man can only all of their lawyer's but for so long. In the end the "interest's" of other's prevailed. IT CAN HAPPEN!!!! I have the tee shirt to prove it! Frank

I hope the other 69 folk's were just too busy to reply, because they were dialing their Senator's. No joke folk's, the very reason this same type thing got jammed down our throats (commercial guy's) was because of apathy. I will promise you this with 100% certainty, the ONLY way this is gonna stop, is if YOU make it stop. Once you are out of a fishery, YOU ARE OUT. That's the design of the system. Yes they (NMFS) may say, well you can get back in if; (as is the case with snapper/grouper) you now have to "buy" 2 permit's (no matter how much they cost). THEN you have to surrender one back to them. That's right, you get the priviledge of loosing the many, many thousand's of dollar's you just spent buying two permit's (in this case catch share's). Then they will "let" you use the one permit that allowed you to fish in the first place!!!

Folk's this isn't a joke. I have butted head's with this same crowd, using the same method's for year's and year's. I would have never ever have left the commercial fishing business willingly, it was the only thing I ever wanted to do. I know by saying that, there may be those on here that would say "good one less to worry about". This time the wolf is at your door, just like I said it was gonna happen 20 some year's ago! Well here we are, history is repeating itself again. "They" have pitted the rec guy's against the commercial guy's and visa/versa, for year's. It's conquer and divide, and it worked. Now they have their sight's set directly on you. It's getting to be more and more of a PETA World out there.

Some may say that I sound like WCL, that I have an axe to grind. Truth is, YES I do! I have no intention on letting this happen to me again. This is real and it's up to YOU what happen's now. Frank, SeaPower
