I lived in Alaska for fourteen years and, in my opinion, Prince William Sound remains one of the most beautiful places to visit. And Babkin Charters provides one of the most professional, enjoyable, and unique experiences. They offer fishing and sightseeing charters, kayaking, hiking, skiing, and research charters. Their largest charter boat, the BABKIN, is beautiful and can serve as an awesome mini-mothership for a great adventure in the Sound.

I spent three weeks on board the BABKIN (after being dropped off by float plane to the boat, which was already out in the Sound) working on a river otter research project (mentioned on their website). We did some fishing for halibut and whale watching in between.

The owner and his wife (a former commercial fisherman and former Norwegian Olympic skier and gourmet chef, respectively) were the friendliest and most professional team I had ever met. They provided an adventure experience I will never forget.
