Here is a copy and paste with the info....
HI
Everybody this is a good fishing friend, whose child needs a lot of help. Please consider this $10.00 donation toward a great cause and friend. I know we all get tired of people calling and asking for money, however if this were my child I would go to the end of the earth to help her. If you have any questions about the cause please call me.
Thanks in advance.

Hello everyone,
I am writing again (for some of you this is the first time) to further explain why we need your help.
Last year we participated as a family in the First National Walk for Epilepsy in Washington, DC. We appreciate everyone's generous contributions last year to the Epilepsy Foundation as we were able to raise over $3000. We plan again to participate in this year's walk in Washington DC.
However, our focus has now changed because during the last year we learned by diagnosis that Haley has Dravet Syndrome. Therefore, we have decided this year to put our sole efforts toward raising money for the IDEA League, the ONLY foundation doing research for children afflicted with this rare genetic disease. (In 2005 there were only about 500 diagnosed cases worldwide).
This is our present Focus.
We have recently learned that there is a competition called, "America's Giving Challenge", put on by Parade Magazine and the Case Foundation. They will be awarding $50,000 to each of the eight charities whose supporters have attracted the most individual donors to their cause using their innovative online tools. We are not looking to raise the most money, but rather we are endeavoring to have the most people donate to the IDEA League. We are also looking to get national awareness for our cause. IF we are one of the winners we will be featured in Parade Magazine. We believe that a few can make a Big Difference. So won’t you please help make this a reality? The minimum donation for the contest is $10, all of which will go to the IDEA League. But we have little time to get 500 contributors, as the competition will END on the 31st of January.
Therefore, we also ask you to help by forwarding this email to your friends and family and help children suffering from Dravet Syndrome. You can either click on www.idea-league.org and you will see the blue "charity badge" on the right hand side (You can read more about Dravet at this site). Or click this link will take you directly to the badge, http://www.networkforgood.org/pca/Ba...badgeId=109719. You can dedicate your gift to Haley...and if you want you can send us an e-card letting us know you have helped!!
A Short Summary of Haley’s Epileptic History
As many of you do know, but for those who do not, Haley has suffered from uncontrolled seizures since 5 months of age. After thousands of seizures, at least a hundred emergency room visits, several ambulance rides, numerous hospital stays and testing, dozens of failed drugs, three different "diets", few "alternative" therapies, and five different neurologists we finally got a diagnosis this year. Dravet Syndrome is a severe pediatric epilepsy syndrome that develops in the first year of life. Children afflicted suffer from a devastated quality of life from seizures, developmental regression, sleep disturbances, orthopedic problems, and more. Fortunately Haley is on a good end of the spectrum for this syndrome. She has not regressed too much. She, at age seven, operates at a 3-5 year old level and seems to be learning when we can keep the seizures to a minimum. Right now Haley usually has grand mal seizures at least 3 days a week and is on three different medications. The prognosis for treatment for Dravet kids is not good. They do not respond well to drugs, some drugs make the seizures worse (we've experienced this).
As of Thursday, Jan 24th we only have 429 donors. We have until Jan. 31st to get over 750 and get in the top 4 national charities and secure a $50,000 grant! Please help!! Just FYI, the in the top 10 fund raisers so far there are four charities for dogs (the number one and two spots) ...I LOVE my dog, Selma, but I think the lives and the families of children with Dravet can be greatly impacted if we can be in the top 8. We are catching up to the eighth place charity which is for Sea Turtles. Let's help the children!!
Sincerely,
Lisa, Bobby, Haley, Peyton and Parker
P.S. If you are reading this after Jan 31st and would still like to help us raise money for the IDEA League you can still do so by going to www.idea-league.org and dedicating your gift to Haley! If you would like to join us at the walk on March 29th in Washington, DC send us an email!!
