Pitch Bait-- New to Me

When I fished Mazatlan Mexico the other week they used a fish they called a "Liza". Spoke to my brother about it and he said it was in the mullet family. Trying to explain to the mate that spoke broken english that we use ballyhoo was quit a chore though.

Our mate in CR rigged em w/ circles just like you would wig a mullet w/ a J hook

You can bridle it straight off the nose and put an egg sinker in the eye socket. I have seen it done and the bait looked like it was going to swim right past the boat.

Now were talkin. Bridled with a Gorrila , good to go.
To bad they are so expensive up here.
