Our fishing report is compiled from the weekly catches of our fleet.
We’ll update the report every Monday

The “El Nino” conditions persist in the Pacific as the first week on the New Year
is behind us. Warm water coming out of the southwest and the lack of any
Northwest winds are keeping even the edges of our fishing range very warm.
The coolest water is strangely enough in the Sea of Cortez as the Northeast winds
are pushing the warm water south.

The Striped Marlin bite is spotty at best on the pacific side from the Lighthouse
to the Golden Gate Bank. Inside along the sandy beaches Sierra Mackerel are
keeping our 24’ Shamrock clients happy with this great tasting fish.

On January 4th. Mr. Janiak and his family fished aboard out 32’ Cabo Express
“Picante Express” with Captain Antonio “Nino” Romero at the helm. They
experienced one of those days that they will never forget releasing 4 Striped
Marlin along with spotting lots of whales. On the 5th. Mr. Taylor and his family
traveled out of the chilly northeast USA to our desert paradise and also spent
the day on the “Picante Express”. They released a Striped Marlin and boated
8 Dorado. On the 10th. Mr. Threlkeld and his family fished on our 35’ Cabo Flybridge “Picante Pride” with Captain Gregorio “Goyo” Lieras at the helm
releasing a Striped Marlin and boating 8 Dorado.
