Mann - what a ride! Capt Big Wave Dave, mate Austin, and I left Manteo at 3 pm, refueled in Morehead at 6 pm, headed offshore trying to get ahead of the Noreaster beating up the East Coast. Last thing you want to hear when heading to Fla is strong S to SE winds. Unless your on the Phat Mann. We arrived a 3 pm in St Augustine- had a nice dinner and sleep- left at 6 am and we were in Palm Beach at 3 pm after enduring squall after squal as fla got as much a 5" of rain in places.
As Mrs Phat Mann and I fight a new challenge in our lives, we have left the PM in Jimmie Field's hands of Tournament Yacht Sales at Cannonsport Marina to find a new happy owner of a fish raising-sea handling machine.
By the way, there were no cobia at the red bouy 20 mi off Cape Canaveral (plenty of bluefish though!)
