Had a day troll out to the canyons on Thursday and headed towards the Lindenkohl/Spencer area along with nearly everyone else who went between Barnegat Light and Cape May.
We marked some fish before the sun came up but didn't have any luck. After circling the area for a while we had a shot of two fish at 5:45 and put one in the boat.
Between 6am and 2:30pm it was slow for us. We managed to put a dolphin in the boat and pulled the hook on a white but there were no tuna bites.
Finally, after the majority of the crowds were gone, we got a single bite around 2:45pm. We put that fish in the boat and got right back on the numbers in time for another shot of 4. We put 3 of them in the boat to finish the day with 5 fish.

On friday we headed back to the hudson and started fishing in the dark.
We had our first shot of fish around 8am and the guys went 1 for 4 on yellowfin.
We had a couple of shots at whites and pulled both hooks and we boated a couple of dolphin.
Around 10am we had a couple more shots of tuna and went 1 for 4 and 2 for 5. Continued to work the area and put 3 more yellowfin in the boat before the guys called it a day around 1pm.
