I've always like the feel of these rods and I think we're going to order 4 50-100 class 6' standups for the long and short rigger rods. Any opinions, good or bad on these?

just dont get the international series with the graphite composition. We had had more than a few bust right off about 8-9" down.
I have 2 that are of the 2005 vintage or there abouts. They are solid and very workman like sticks. They are very functional. Meat and potatoes. They are not fancy or super high tech. But I am a meat and potatoes guy... I see no reason to swap mine out.
I had a very old one that was a heavy war club. But it was from a vintage that was just solid, heavy glass. I like my newer ones much better.
I don't know when production went to China. But someone with more knowledge of these rods can tell you if it made a difference.
But I would catagorize them along the same lines as the International II series (T50, T30) reels. Sure there are fancier, newer and prettier rods/reels out there. But I would never worry about hooking up on a well maintained Int II T50 either. They have landed a bazillion big fish.

I fished a set for 10 years before I started building my own - I never had any major issues with them - a few guides banged up and replaced, but they did great.
