Well my Dad passed away saturday and we buried him today. For you that have met him, you know that he was truly a fishing legend. Not that he had any IGFA records but in the way he enjoyed being on the water. From the time that my brother and I were old enough to hold a fishing rod, he had us on the water fishing on his every day off as a Policeman. Which was week days and off from school for us. I remember fishing out of clarks landing in rowboats for flounder and near the end when we landed a mako shark on my 44 footer. He was my inspiration to get offshore and enjoy that day, as he taught me. He will surely be missed and I am grateful that he fished with me until the end and had a full life of fishing at 83 years old. Thanks for the memories Dad and thanks for getting me addicted to offshore fishing.
