If I get to the keys any time in the near future I'll do a seperate 101 for that using live bally hoo and "running showers" in shallow water where we actually sicast to them... yet another devoted to trolling them...
Inshore fluke 101 should be done early this summer... Maybe northern marlin 101 too. Let me know what other 101 pieces you want...![]()

One hell of a great read.. Can't get any better than this..Class dismissed.![]()
I try to angle to the wind( about 45 degrees to it) where back draft isn't gonna catch it and screw it up. I run her out about 60' to make sure she free of that turbulence (thats why clip #1 is that far from the kite. When running with it I quarter the wind tring to get as much south into my angle as possible to fight the stream...So say on an east wind I'm pointed south and the kite is off my starboard.
Again I seldom use the kite cause if I see fish down sea or cross sea up top and working I want to be able to get there quick. A kite can hinder that...
Off a bridge The 45 degree or more thing usually works pretty good. Opening a front curtain to keep the flow of air going aft and lifting your rod tip higher than the hard top can help...
