OVS - Sincere Congratulations & Thanks

What an honor it was to be involved with this event and the crews that fished it. Many reports have been posted but I wanted to take a moment to personally congratulate and thank a few folks.

Congratulations to the teams of the Foolish Pleasure and Sea Splendour for representing SFC so well and catching 1/3 of the billfish for the entire fleet in this tourney. Big congratulations to Alexa Turner for her top angler honors, catching her first tuna & billfish and for making her father and grandparents so very proud. You are an outstanding young lady Alexa and it was a pleasure meeting/fishing with you. Congrats also to Vanessa on her first white one and for taking the 1000 fathom plunge. You go girl!

As for thanks - there are many so bear with me.

Thank you Tim (GW) for including me in your crew for this one and the friendship you have brought my way. You worked your butt off to make sure things happened and it all paid off. You’re a class act all the way.

Thank you to Mr. & Mrs. Turner for providing such an awesome platform for all of us to fish from. Your generosity is much appreciated.

Capt. Ike and Kathy – You are a dynamite team and I thank you for your hospitality and efforts. I’d ride with you anytime.

Deep C – Thanks for teaching me some new tricks and for putting us on the fish. I’m glad I got to fish with you and enjoyed your ‘deep’ thoughts.

Chuck & Mary – You made me feel welcome onboard and in your shop (which is awesome). Thanks for the good food, great company, and outstanding apple pie (sorry Chuck). I look forward to seeing/fishing with you again soon.

Admin – Great to spend more time with you. Thanks for getting the DVD player onboard to work and pointing out my shortcomings in the AV department.

LuckyLady – Thanks for not shooting me with rubber bands and for taking my koozie. Let’s talk boats soon!

Sea Splendour crew – Thanks for the good times and comradery. You are all world class offshore as well as on and IMHO are the team to beat. Thanks for always setting the bar high. I'm looking forward to WMO.

Alexa - Thanks for the iPod advice (she loves it).

Pitchbait – Great to see you again. Thanks for the input and for sharing more bait rigging tips.

John Seafood - Thanks for the first round and for showering before dinner.

Special thanks to the russian girls at Carney's for providing such a train wreck of a show to watch. Good times.

It was great seeing/meeting so many other SFC members in Cape May and I hope to get the opportunity to visit again soon.

Oh yeah the rubber bands. I so did not start that one (GRADY) I know I have a few marks from them and Mary got it worse than me. Thanks for dropping the ice cubes down from up top those were used against me in retaliation of the rubber bands I think

I had a ball with everyone and I am not sure if I want to see the video from the last hour in but it will make for good comedy. That little nappy that Mary & I took we might as well been drinking after that, I am sure Grady is playing it back laughing so very hard! Time will tell PEEK A BOO
