This was an excellent read! However I would have to agree with the majority on this one. Not the smartest thing I have ever read, however I am glad you made it safe. Being wet and cold you can recover from. Missing @ sea or dead is a little tuffer to come back from...It has been done in the past, but I think only once. LOL!. Glad you made it. Please keep the post coming. You live the life alot of us dream of.

glad you made it safely, trey. definitely not the SMARTEST call to make, but hell you made it. I miss making that run, rounding mangrove cay, turning south at great sale cay, then turning the corner at matt lowes/sugarloaf and heading to boat harbor

That is an awesome story. Something I would love to do one day with our 23 foot panga. How much fuel did you have aboard?

how much fuel......yea, that's a good question. as far as I know I had 60 gallons. how much was usable, i honestly have no idea and is why i stopped in West End. I only took 16 gallons there. If i could have gone to Spanish or all the way to Treasure, i'd have been in much better shape and saved a lot of time. next time I will know.

Thomas, you fill that thing up yet? still not sure how much it took from West End to Guana...I suspect I did the whole trip in about 50 gallons, so next time I'd be fine going to Spanish and clearing, which would be a much better way of doing it I think.
