Over Under - Islamorada as good as it gets right now

Most people dont' realize it, but right now is one of the best times to visit here in the Keys. It is very quiet here, not too many people around, the weather is spectacular, and the fishing is going off. THATS RIGHT released 6 sails today, and the reef is very good with Mackeral and Yellowtails right now.

Hardly anyone fishing....so you might just have the reef to yourself if you can get out during the week!

Mullet are running with the usual sharks, tarpon and snooks chasing. Seen a school go by last week that was about a mile long.

Trey are you guys planning to come over to San Sal this year? The wahoo are starting to show up though still a little on the small side but its early. Below are a couple bookends we got a couple weeks ago that weighted in at 80 & 83 lbs. Hope to see you guys soon!

The next bite on a jig.
Is that a Bertram? Looks like a great boat. After working on Darryls boat, I really love them.

Yes sir she is a Bertram 60 and has been a great boat us. She has seen her fair share of some pretty nasty seas and has never disappointed, at 60 ton loaded she is like a tank. Not overly fast by todays standards but she get's us there at 28 kts in cruise. Seems like the marlin like the hum of those big detroits so I guess we are stuck with her!
