OSS 4-22 Temp Charts, Turbidity Charts and Canyon Crops

Please check out our 4-22-08 temperature charts, turbidity (dirty water -clean water) charts and Canyon Crops at our website www.offshoresatelliteservices.comClick on Members Only "Cape Cod to Cape Hatteras" and use OSS as both a password and a username.

For the coming season, we now can zoom into a specific canyon area and enlarge it for a very detailed look at each canyon area. Each canyon located in our standard canyon charts are written under the current image. Click on the canyon you would like a more detailed look at and the enlarged image will open up. These Canyon Crop charts are contoured out in 1/2 degree intervals for a very detailed look at each canyon.

    Would greatly appreciate your feedback.

I have always had a hard time reading your charts ,guess I got use to it in color, takes me longer on your charts.I like the way temp pro has temp and lat and long with the cursor. As far as the other features on zoom I did not figure it out.

The temps are printed right on the charts, you don't determine temperature comparing areas to a color bar. Place the cursor on each chart and under the cursor is Lat and Long. (We are still working on providing Lat and Long on the Canyon Crops) Left click while the cursor is on a chart and it will say "set destination" click again anywhere on the chart and the miles appear under the cursor between the first click spot and the second spot clicked on.

Just go to the current chart of an area and under the chart the names of each canyon can be seen covered by that chart. Just click on the canyon you want a more detailed look at.

Could you please explain what is confusing. Temps are printed right on the chart and the lat and long is under the cursor. Move the cursor and the Lat and long changes with the move to the current position. Its really simple.

Lat and Long cursor won't work on this image.

Charts make sense to me. The temps are listed right on the chart. you don't have to use a color wheel.

Len - I was in your last breakout session at the Annapolis Canyon Runner seminar. I really enjoyed it and learned a lot. Thanks!!

Thanks Joe. Sometimes people get used to looking at a specific way of doing things and if they are done a different way it's just confusing to them. Thats why I make sure every one of my subscribers has my phone number. If I have to drive to their house to explain how to use the charts I will.

    Thanks Snapp
I'm back on the road with the Canyon Runner crew this weekend. Heading for Newport RI. (Adam is running me ragged!) There is so much to learn about the ocean and its configurations. Like I said at the seminar I find it so fasinating. Back in the late 70s we new so little about what is really happening off the beach, no less how to apply it to our fishing to be more productive. It sure has been a learning process and it is never ending with all this new technology we have access to.
