Saw an ad in Sportfiesherman for them. The originals with the roller tension. Good deal, I wasn't a big fan of the new style ones.

Yes, they are only making the original OR-1 going forward, the new OR-2 with plastic tension bar turned out to be a disaster, after many complaints and retailers such as us letting them know that we had no desire for them they smartly scrapped the new ones and went back to the proven OR-1 designs.
Like most companies and their products they tried to make them more affordably and try a new design but in this case it did not prove out to be the way to go, good for them to recognize this and make the change back.

AFTCO is a solid company to work with and stands behind their products.

After having a couple refuse to release w. fish on I called Aftco, complained and was sent 2 sets of the original rollers, free of charge, no questions asked.

What a pleasure to find a company that stands behind its product and does the right thing at their cost.

I did the same thing. Called them and complained about not releasing with fish on. I talked to someone, I think he was a VP or something like that, he said they had been having so many problems they were going back to the old style and scrapping the new ones. I sent the "new" style back to them. They sent me a Brand New pair of the "old" style.

They were interested in their product working and genuine about making the customer happy. They have a customer for life.

Not to mention the old ones are infinitely adjustable and the "new" ones had only 6 positions
