We will be making a trip to Hatteras in March and then work our way back up to Oregon Inlet end of May first of June depending on the water conditions. My Favorite time is the first of June out of OI. The weather and the water are a little more predictable. I love fishing out of OI and almost always have great trips.
In the spring I normaly pull Blue/White or Pink/White Islanders, Trackers, Islander jrs or sea witches all with meat and all on 30 ft 90-100lb Flouro windons. I also pull two spreader bars of the same color. This past spring Blue/White was hot for us. Here are a few pics. I beleive there is alot of B/W on the deck.Center rigger WWB was the hot rod for us this year. Normally we head a 90 out of the inlet and work the sharp contour changes as well as the temp breaks keep a eye on the ssts and you will know where to go... Damn Im ready to go everything is ready and its almost March!!!..Mark
