We have actually been thinking about heading up to Oregon Inlet for the September White Marlin bite for a couple of years now, and in light of the recent hurricane troubles on Hatteras Island, we are thinking about it more strongly.
The white marlin (and other billfish) bite out of Oregon Inlet in late summer is fairly reliable and can offer some great light tackle billfish action. Other fish are possible too dolphin, tuna etc.
We have had a little interest from some of our regular customers and would like to put together a few trips to be able to head up to fish out of Oregon Inlet.
We hope to be back in action out of Hatteras as soon as possible but they are biting now up the road.
The rate would b e $1750 per day as the run to the fishing grounds is alot longer and we would burn a considerable amount more of fuel.
Anyway if you are interested give me a shout, email or call.
Whitey......
