This is terrible news. It will kill the charter industry down there.

They are closing it to 80ft or 100 ton boats or larger. Most of these will be comercial vessels.....Mark

SOMEWHERE ON THE WATER IN NC !!
we went thru friday.
the closing sounds like it its for the bigger boats.
but it is not good to have any closings.
hope they can get something done down there.
I heard there was a death in the inlet over the weekend? Anyone know anything about that?

Crack was remarked last week by some of the charter captains hard work . Also the mid span has plenty of water for the fleet to use at this time.
We went out on Sunday just after low tide and the bar was dicey but doable. I can't imagine what it was like with a strong east northeast wind and outgoing tide on Saturday when they went out . The winds were 13-15 NNE with gust to 20.
