aside from actual measurements. . .
I have been on both. I have fished on an albe a lot more than the CC. The 28' CC just FEELS like a much bigger boat than the albe. this does not mean its a better boat. Personally I would not choose either one. After running offshore in a cat, I can see owning a monohull again. With that said, these are both fine fine boats. My neighbor has a brand spankin new 28 albe w/ tower. This boat runs better than most in a head sea(for a mono hull ) but damn its got a lot of roll. Went sharkin in one in a moderate sea, 3-4' and that baby sure did roll. Granted it was predictable and not really a snap roll. . . but it did roll hard. The fit and finish of the boats that i have been on have been great on both the CC and albe. Personally, i like the helm area on the CC a little better than the albe. seems like you have a little more room there. thats just a personal thing i have with the CC. talk to actual owners. . . in a world cat/glacier bay debate, im your man. in this one. . . talk to guys who own em. . .but u know me. . .gotta give me .02 i think they are both great boats and either one would be a good choice, just not as good a choice as a WC ![]() |

Go to your room... I own a cat down in south Africa and its ride doesnt compare to v hulls. Also I think our friend bob is looking for a real boat with inboards. On your side I will say that the only boat that ever kept pace with me in the Albie in the real nastiest 8-10' stuff was a 32' I think world cat... I catch grief about that day. Big boats mostly turned around. Those that kept going pulled back to a crawl and I even pulled back to 18 or so. The cat boat was the only one who could keep up but man were those guys wet...

the classic is the best ride
I have the best of both worlds and can tell you to get a classic or an albe . these hulls are made to fish in rough seas and take the day to day abuse of offshore fishing . in the classic make sure to get the 330 cummins diesels on a 140 mile day you will burn 120 gals of fuel and can cruise at 30 knots on the ride in . I have fished from both boats the last few years and can answer any ? you have .
