"One very special fish!!! for the Phat Mann Family
But.. Amy has been just too tired to fish on vacation this week, but today... Still feeling side effects from 19 weeks of chemo- can't feel her fingers or toes- tried a margurita and two days ago and threw up! Sure tasted good going down she said!! But loving the getaway. She decided today she wasn't gonna go home empty handed! I'm going fishin today, she says!! (In Islamorada Fla!) After an hour of fishing, Amy jumped a tarpon off and grumbled a bit! Then, an hour later, she gets a bite and says "I think I have what we are looking for". This monster jumped out of the water and it was over #120. A beauty. She fought with all her heart for about 20 minutes before her air ran out (low red blood cell count). Grudgingly passing the rod to me and completely out of gas, I finished it off running boat and fighting fish while she recovered from seeing spots!!! That was without a doubt the most special tarpon or fish of any kind I have ever seen jump behind my boat!! Unbelievable is all I can say! |

One very special catch indeed. May the margaritas stay down and the tarpons always bite good for the Mrs.
