    Old school Bluefin Video Bahamas

Pretty cool video, I got to fish Cay Cay a few years ago saw one school of fish from the tower, no bites, but pretty awesome, either way and very few people have ever laid eyes on such a sight. Would have loved to have seen this fishery in its heyday. Giant fishing in its purest form. They still roll through at the right time of year but not even close to what it once was. This fishery inspired creation of the tuna tower, the tuna door, fighting chairs, 130 class reels etc. This is where it all began. The video is a little hokey but some great footage.

    Outstanding!!!!

When I was a kid I was fortunate enough to spend a week in the Bahamas with Capt. Cliff North and his mate Tiny ( I can't recall Tiny's last name, but he was a giant of a man). Both were a part of the Bimini and Cat Cay scene as the bite disapeared back in the 70s and their stories were the stuff of my dreams.

    Thanks...

Thanks for posting Innovator. That was one fishery that I would have loved to see in person.

Those guys used to get them on the Bahama Bank between Bimini and Cat. The fish were up on the bank in 15 feet of chrystal clear water.
