In other posts I wrote when the shit first hit the fan, I blasted how the show really is gonna show us in a bad light. This thread I addressed those particulars. The crew made a series of mistakes, the whores at the network played them over the top and all the infighting among the rest of the community recently has really made us look bad too. In my last paragraph I take the blame for not doing more when I knew this was gonna blow up. I knew the producer wasa up to no good and would be looking for something to bake us on. I knew he found it. I yelled. Just not loud enough... I should have crawled up the producers ass at the first infraction that I was there to see but I just let it go.

Its gonna take time to heal from this shit storm...

Deep...i understand u, i had espn on my boat this summer for the oak bluffs tourney and i watched it in tv and they edit things in, and i am not mad at you. the producers is who we should get after....im young but can we do anything legally? u can fish with me any day...(i commercial tuna fish i too have done alot of stupid things out there to kill time)

A couple years ago we had a hurricane knock the shit out of us... We thought it was the end of the world how bad it was. Three weeks later we got nailed by an even stronger one. Last year a thir one scored a third direct hit.. A year later most of us don't even remember that it was a year ago yesterday...

deep c. This is a classic case of different intentions. You would have pulled off the big one. Is TV ready for that. It would of killed Nascar if you loaded the cast with your selective list and timing of the run of makos

The producer of the show was sloppy and pig headed in regard to east coast tourneys. Some people only think with half of their potential cells most of the time. His intentions were to have the best show, seeing that was not happening, plan x was implemented. Born out of fear, not having a show filled with quality large shark.

OG had yet another intention, as stated by George and his captain many times. Reading and hearing that this was not a tournament but just a holiday party? Who in their right mind would .......never mind. We already know who. The cast on Jersey Cape boat did not look like a tournament Team to me. This coincides with many faults I saw and it added some reasoning to my questions.

There were Teams trying to fish the tournament. The over shadow of the OG team actually took away from this. I think the intent of the producer was to implement plan x. They need to replace him for this to be a quality TV show.

Well, if you deep c are willing to take the blame for all this. My doctors number will be available at a personal request. He is not cheap. I hear you are. He does barter for offshore fishing trips. How does that sound? Get george and the captain of OG to come along with you and maybe a reduced rate could be affixed. There are women in his practice so ask the other two. if not a problem, to keep their close on during sessions.

I agree with this post and it is all Deep C's fault If only we had that camera crew at the mako mania win. I can only imagine the number of posts and controversy if the boat didnt get a share of the winnings.. Amazingly all this over a reality fishing show!

My beef with this whole mess, aside from the blame, who did this , who did that, east vs. west etc. is that it has created a negative image for all sportfisherman worldwide. Alot of us have and will spend a lifetime learning and teaching this once noble sport and in one short hour the actions of one group of fisherman has negatively affected us all. Shame on you.

WHO EFFIN GIVES A SH*T!

My God, I read thru some of this diarrhea, I admit, but my God people....go fishin' for cripes sake! Who cares!!!

I don't even care to give my thoughts on this subject because I honestly haven't thought about passing any judgement either way!

I don't get OLN and haven't even seen the show, nor do I crave to. I simply don't care.

I don't care about ever getting "15 minutes of fame" either!

I have helped out, the past 2 years, the crew of Northeast Angling, as the camera boat for several shows. At least they film an informative show, with entertainment thrown in. But do you know why I help them?

BECAUSE THEY ARE A FUN BUNCH OF GUYS, ALONG WITH CAPT. BILL BROWN AND MATE BEN DOUGHERTY.

Also because I get to fish "on their dime", and, because it goes on during the week, I can't think of much else I'd rather take a couple days off than spending them on the water!

The camera? I don't want it on me. I'm just fine fishing while they film everything else. LOL. Hell I caught my first billfish (White) on my own boat with one of their camera crew onboard, while they were sharking.

Do I watch TV? Sure. If I have free time, I'll watch TV Land, a couple CSI's, and Las Vegas (nice talent shown on CSI and Las Vegas LOL). Entertainment, people. Hell, I watch TV so little, I have a backup of DVR'ed CSI's on there LOL. I DVR them because I don't have time for the commercials.

Anyway, I had my say. Wasn't even going to post, but, my God has this turned into a F-in SOAP OPERA!

Paul, well said..... I think your assessment of the entire situation and the actions of team olivia grace hit the nail on the head.

What bothers me most is the dishonest action of calling in a release when the fish has been boated. Then calling in a fake landing of a fish later in the day.
As you stated Paul:

Hey Deep , Ever thought about running for office ? Very well said . I joined this forum before all this BS started but have to admit I found it entertaining . After a while I just stopped reading it at all and went on to get great info about new and different fishing methods . Now C , I could be your PR Man , You could make a very eloquent speech , Hmm ?
