It's not red hot for sure. The post from the OI fleet looks good, but when you take into consideration the number of boats from OI and Pirate's Cove that are fishing and the amount of tuna caught, it's really not a great ratio. Just have to be at the right spot at the right time. Most of the fish are being caught from the 600-680. Pull the spreader bar way back and a pink sea witch on the planer rod.
Its really weird this fall.... one day its great the next its terrible.....lots of blackfins some yft, few wahoo and makos.....the days I've been out it seems they are not shooled (yft's) .... I hope its just the start of a better season. Some of the boats today hooked or saw a blue marlin and a white was hooked the other day. Its usually nothing but tunas (yft's)this time of the year with an occasional mako. Had 5 blackfins on Sunday with one wahoo bite off. Really weird!
