Sat 6/16
Fished the same area 640-740 except a bit deeper most of the time. Tried a couple differnt types of water ranging from the cool clean currentless blend of about 68 degrees to about 80 in the true stream way way overboard. Even in the stream the current was only about a Knt. Anyways we found pretty good fishing all around. The conditions are about perfect. The only thing that makes this kind of fishing tough is flat calm seas & boat pressure (of which we had both days). Some got um & others didn't but for as nice as it was out there, I would say the fishing proved to be great for most.
On Sat, we had the best luck around small areas of Bonita way overboard & also in about 300 fat around some great marks that would produce after a couple passes. The best 2 parts of the day were in the morning @ the 662 in 275 Fathoms fishing just on the inside of where the water clears up with the deep rig down. Blue Marlin hooked up!! Well that was a first but then the Power Pro broke while we were trying to clear all the Tuna spread (sorry Bert)where the loop passes through the Spro. Oh well, we went back to the mark & this time Billy drops back on a flat line bite & hooks up a nice White one. We watch it dance across the ocean while once again we were Tuna fishing/clearing (11) lines.:helpsmilie: He too gets off. Finally later on we did manage another really nice white which made it to the boat for a clean de-hooking & pics.
Congrats Bert on your citation:thumbup:
The snd best time was the end of the day when we had almost every rod down on the big blue water boscos around bonita in 750 fathoms:eek2: Rubber hook factor got us big time on this round but it was still bad ass to watch unfold.

Fished the 650-735 in mostly 350 fathoms where the large schools of dolphin were. The WWB spreader bar was the ticket today for sure. Almost all singles all day but plenty of them. Lots of pulled off fish again. They are just strong fish & who knows why but with the whole spreader bar thing, I'm sure doesn't help things compared to the ease of wind ons.
The best part of this day was first thing @ lines in right on the stream break in 77 degrees along a nice (Gafferless)weed line. Not even 15 mins into the day we have 10 standard baits & 1 big bar out when in comes a whole pack of White marlin. All I can say is Caos!!:clapping2: What a mess. My favorite bar got trashed the whole spread got twisted up & when the smoke cleared we only wound up with 2 to leader. As we snapped shots & sent them on there way, All I could think of was something Tommy T said years ago the last time this happened @ daybreak, (I thought I taught you boys better, Your supossed to break off the bill & stab them in the eyes).
LOL.
Just kidding it was plain Awesome to see them destroy our entire spread in less than 5 mins.
Congrats to both Mark & Johns double headder citations.
Ended the snd day early & came in with some nice Tuna & a Wahoo for the grill.
Days tally: 2 for who knows how many on the Whites
Bunch of Tuna, a Dolphin & a Wahoo.
Great weekend with Great friends once again. Cant wait till the next adventure.
BTW a 250 lb Eye was caught on the 713 or so in the early afternoon in about 350 fathoms I believe. Now thats what I'm talking about:thumbup:
Also all the best of the OI dolphin were from the 440 or so.
1st White on a Purple/crystal Becko
