OI report for 11/29/09

[Banshee]

Fished with Capt. Larry and Capt Elson, on the Canyon Blues, a fun trip for the freezer. Reached the 920 line in 72Fa near the point found a 12 degree break, set out the spread. After giving Capt Larry his usual round fo why haven't we caught any fish yet, both bars go down. catch two. Get set up again and get slammed for the next hour, total Chaos, but we conquered!!! By 10:30 it was over for us, limit of Yellow fins about 30 # each. we leftem chewing. As Elson said they were chewing the bottom paint off the boat.
Best day of fishing for yellow fins in a long time.

They are there, between the 920-970 in 72 to 75 fa near the point. The fine Gentleman in the Red Sweat Shirt is my Man Capt. Elson.

Nice catch for sure. Elson is the man. Love fishing with that guy. Just an FYI, the point is about 40 miles south of where you guys were fishing.

Sorry I thought we were near there! I was the gaff man, I do know we were due east of the inlet about 40 miles or so.

Maybe 620/tuna hole? I tried to get up with my buddy up there this past weekend, but never could. Looks like I missed it. 920 would be NE.
