Had my Dad (Johnnie), my friend John Walker and his dad(John Walker Sr). Lotta damn Johns today. Headed out to the 850 line to find grass everywhere...Bailed dolphin on ultra-lights until they had enough. Trolled around the trying to find some gaffers. Saw a couple of tunas skying in the grass so we hung around and experimented with kite fishing. Picked up more dolphin on a hunk of grass then had a sail come sniff out our left short. Circle back a couple more time but never saw it a again. Got another dolphin on and it started going crazy(as in scared). It dove down and the next thing we know the 50W is doubled down and screaming line. I figure we had a nice blue come and grab the mahi as John Sr was fighting it. Ended up with 30 dolphin for the day with good friends and family!!

What happened to the screaming 50W?

Came up with an empty hook. Dolphin was ripped off due to the pressure. Should have released pressure to try to possible let the fish swallow the dolphin and get a hook in it. Chances would have been slim either way. Anyone else ever had a marlin eat a dolphin and what did you do and what was the outcome?
