Just east of the inlet today the marlin were chewing.
We went 1 for 2 on BM and 4 for 7 on WM.
Got to go home now and go back to work.

Mark,
Byron here, I fished with last year around the 4th of July after meeting Amy and yourself at Hurricane Moe's. Thanks so much for inviting me to fish with you, Amy and Capt. Dave, I had a great time and what a beautiful boat.
Congrats on your win in, I think, Cape May last year.
I followed the Phat Mann during the Big Rock. Looks like you had very good tournament. If the blue one would have weighted 37 # more that would have been sweet.
I will be in Nags Head 6/29- 7/06. Maybe I'll see you at Hurricane Moe's.
If you ever need a 50 year old fat man on the Phat Mann I would love to go fishing with you again.
Hope to see you again.

Cngrats on the catch. You have one the nicest boats in the marina. Those mann customs are had to beat.
Thanks for some of the kind words.
Yes Hubris the Phat Mann crew includes my wife as an active participant in our team. In fact we got to "creek her" at Sunset in the MA 500 when she caught her first BM about 225 lbs on a WM dink rod. Looked great soaking wet and was a great sport with a hundred people watching us weigh our first WM.
The "Mann" in Phat Mann only refers to our boat Manufacturer (not to male or female) although I personally am often refered to as Hey Phat Mann but few have the courage to say to my wife hey Phat Womann. (Lol) Many do call us Mr and Mrs Phat Mann. It is all fun.
Many women make some of the best anglers cuz they listen and don't overpower.
Byron- we should be down july 4th time frame
How far off to the east was the bite. I am heading that way today trying to deside on fishing OI or Hatteras. Looks like there was a good bite in Hatteras yesterday.
LT - One More
We wew only 25 mi east in 30
to 3d fathoms. Real close. There was a pool if water perfect for hoding fish. We hit on Monday, Tuesday, they were still snapping, heard that yesterday that pool of water was blending out. No idea what they did today.
Definately worth getting an up to date report before you choose. I also heard Hatteras was a ggod bite.
Good luck
