Sunday the 27th we arrive at the OI just after 4:45 to get in the long line at the ramp. Fished with the fleet aroung the 650-700. Finished with 1 50lber, 1 45lb and a 35lb yellowfin. Not great but some meat in the box. Monday started in the same place and bam screamer. 30 min later 95lb big eye. We pass back over that same spot and bam another screamer. Strap our buddy in a harness and 20min later 85lber in the box. HELL YEAH. End up catching two 20lb yellowfins before picking up at 11:30 and running down south. Find a nice weed line and pick 11 gaffers off before packing up. Man what a day!!!! Wed. we headed out and fished with the fleet most of the day and ended with the skunk. I guess a full moon and easterly winds are not good fishing conditions. Thursday we started with the fleet with one pulloff all morning and decided to run down south. Slow but did manage 3 gaffers. All in all it was a great week and it was a ton of fun. The fish are there and if you run over them they usually will hit. Friday we took the girls for a boat ride and talked to several guys that said the yellowfin were skying. Oh well, missed the bite by a day

I am right there with you Yellow dog. The Big Eye has eluded me for MANY years. I was fishing in the same area as Stockweiser on Monday, had a nice box of Yellowfin but no Big Eyes. I hope to get that monkey off of my back in the next couple of weeks.
