Christmas evening I get a PM from Bill Funk. He said that saturday looked like a weather window and the water was over the 650 hole so we should make a go of if. The first couple miles were beautiful but the warm water had really moved inshore and it kept getting bumpier and bumpier. When we finally got to the 650 it was downright snotty. Caught a sm blackfin and missed a couple others. No marks so we moved down the line towards the point. When we got to the Point we caught a gaffer dolphin in the 74 degree water. We were fishing the hot side of the break. We that got ambusherd by 4 yellowfins. Two stuck and made it in the box. One of them got sharked but didn't take any meat - just got the tail. Circle back and the middle flatline that is running right in the wash gets crushed by a bigger fish. Ended up being a nice yellowfin. Weather never improved so we headed in. Once we got out of the warm water the seas settled down but the fog was brick wall thick. A few charter boats waited outside the inlet for a commercial fisherman to guide us in. We made it as far as broadcreek when we decided to dock their for the night. Great trip - thanks Bill
