True but few. There were a few fish reported out of Hatterass last week but there have not been reports from OI since January. Not many boats running offshore now. I am looking for a weather break to try though.
I had a buddy fishing off of Nags Head last Thur. and Fri. about 6-10 miles out and he said they hooked into one that ran like hell then broke the swivel.
They been catching them there since the middle of december in pretty good numbers. These best of it has been in the 400's at 50 fathoms. Most fish in the 68'' to 74'' range. Dont know how it is now but it was all you wanted there for a while.
Hatteras last weekend I did not fish myself but know it to be true,some real nice black fins mixed in one boat used only butterfly jigs to get it done,the blue fins around 120
