Keeeerist! I don't post a pic of something I get kicked in the jewels and sent to siberia...
I post pics and I get shit like "looks small in the picture" or "how do we know when that was taken" or "I can't see its tonsils" or " thats the same fish from two angles not two fish" or "You're hurting the fiash by taking that" or "Thats boring we all know what that species looks like" or "I caught a bigger one" or "Photoshop" or "too light" or "too dark" ....
Fudge it... I'll take em when I'm damn good and ready after smoking my cigarette and scratchin my balls and tough titties if I get the contrast wrong or exposure is too dark...![]()
Photos..actually it's my fault..I had the Nikon on board and could have taken alot more pics..however it was just the three of us..Boss Man and Deep at the helm taking turns and me minding the the rods, riggers and baits with Deep running back and forth between helm and pit, so we were not really focused on photo's. Boss Man isn't the photo op type..
Although, a shot of the hooked Gannet flying about 30 feet off the water like a kite while reeling him in should have been caught on film..put up a good fight sorta..flappin it's wings to beat the band..so this is the next best thing..![]()

You know... Its funny... I worked for a guy years back that caught an inordinate amount of sea turtles with me. I think I have caught maybe a half dozen in my life and four of them were with him.
Then we get to my current boss. He's a friggin bird magnet. In Islamorada a couple years ago we caught a tern, a gannet and a frigate. I guess you could call that a feathered grand slam. I have to bring anti bird war fare stuff with us when we fish down there now.
Then two gannets on two back to back days? Unreal...
Sorry I didn't get pics. I've had fish give me trouble trying to get in the wheels before but your bird was on disaster course for my riggers...Good job in pulling him back down out of the stratosphere... They get up in that jet stream and they can be trouble...
Enjoyed the company buddy!Next stop ... Chub...
