Offshore- Venice

I have been enjoying some great fishing down here in Venice as well as my clients. The nasty water seems to be turning over and the tuna have been doing there part. There has been a nice push of water to the east and the water is returning from the west at a breakneck pace. The billfish and dolphin should go back to "stupid" mode in short time. Little crack baits have been easy to come by along with the thread-fin. I have been using a Frenzy #4 sabiki with nice results. The kite has been working well on the yellowfin and the strike is worth the price of admission. The bottom fishing right now is solid with snappers eating everything you put down. The cobia are showing up in good numbers and the tarpon have been
having there way with the rain minnows in the delta. I have several openings in August. Give me a call if you would like to go. Hopefully my next report has to do with a nice blue!
