    OCMD 5/31 BFT Scouting Report

Took one for the team.. (fuel burn, that is). It was to nice yesterday not to go. Knowing it was probably a little early, we decided to do a little scouting and rig up for BF and run South. Started South of the PL, trolled South toward Lumpy Bottom and then out to the 40 line.
Water was in the mid 60's, no bait, very few birds. Did manage one Bluefish and saw a some turtles and a sunfish.

Weather was great and boat ran good. Way better than sittin in traffic trying to get home.

I'm sure it will start heating up in the next few weeks.

While in Cape May this weekend I saw a 40lber and the guy also caught a 227 mako and said he saw another around 150. Did ask to many questions cause Im not going back up there for three weeks.

I got into some Fat Alberts @ the PL Saturday. Plenty of birds, little bait. We saw turtles & sun fish, as well.

Thanks for the report Ed. We ran to the Hotdog yesterday and it was flat calm with no signs of bluefin on the twin wrecks, fingers, hambone or hotdog. They should be here any day though! Try again next weekend I guess.
