Ocean/Viking Showdown on the 37 Billfish

Congrats to the Foolish Pleasure and Sea Splender on catching most of the few marlin that were around during a real slow marlin bite...
I fished with Ocean Yachts on the the new 37 billfish for Day 1, all I can say is the Billfish is a awesome boat. We ran close to 90 miles on day 1 in sloppy 6-8 seas without a problem. This boat does not pound and tracks real well in rough seas. We missed a white and lost a few yellowfin due to the fact we were circle hook fishing for whites. The 37 only burned 200 gal. of fuel running in that mess at 28-30 knots 90 miles out and back. Day 2 fished on the Ocean 58 demo, we ran to the Poormans to find alot of life and great water, but the marlin would avoid us again. The 58 demo is a beast and sure is pretty with the light blue hull and tower. Thanks to the Leek family for inviting me to fish on two great boats.

480 Yanmar's push her along at 30+ knots criuise with aprrox 17 gph burn on each side. Very good on fuel....

Saw you guys hauling a$$ back when you ran across the Baltimore Saturday late in the afternoon. Boat sure looked sharp when you had her running all out. Definitely looked like you guys were comfortable.
