Did you miss the smilie?...Just some smack talkin fun is all. If I had been on Ocean the barb would have gone the other way... After all it is competition... they themselves bring the game to each other... Its not the OV pajama party it was the "war off shore"... their slogan not mine... There is no harm in a little friendly jabbing...

Anyway congrats to your crew and team..nice job on the blue.
Question: You guys called in a white hookup at 1st, was it just a rat blue that you took for a white or did you not see it hit.....

I could see it was a blue right after the first swing at a bait. Ike was forward. I didn't know he even called a hook up... She jumped a few times and gave plenty of positive ID...
A grin indicates a joking comment. A smile indicates that I'm happy. The little blue winking one means I'm in a gentle mood...
I think if you look through many of my posts in this subject I go out of my way to give a high five to Sea Splendour for their job well done. I did not "qualify" those statements with a grin. They were heart felt congratulations to a damn fine team....
I feel the need to apologize for the statement made by deep, i do not feel it was made maliciously, though it was in bad taste, as the boat owner i am responsible for the actions and statements of my crew and I do apologize if anyone took offense to his statements. They are not the feeling of the Foolish Pleasure.
As for the hookup, and the white called in , the foolish pleasure is an enclosed bridge, the captain mans the wheel from the inside of bridge, he called in what he thought it was without iding the fish. I was at the transom when the fish was wired, let there be no doubt, I personally ID'd the fish and it was a blue.
Again my deepest apologies to anyone who may have took offense to the statements made.
Sincerely
Tim Turner

Tim,
There is no doubt in my mind that was a blue, I saw the end of it's greyhound then watched the release (from the bridge w/Nimrod), just couldn't get a clear picture since it's head just sat under the surface @ the transom. What was cool was when I watched it turn it's head and look up @ you guys right before you nearly jumped out of the boat cheering that "It's a BLUE!!!!!!"
I have to admit it was an amazing moment to watch between father and daughter. The pride and love that I witnessed cannot be described in words.
