I was land bound today but Capt. Roger Gales carried a group on a stream trip today aboard the Mac Marlen. He said warm water was pushed in over the break & there was not much of a temp break to work or much bait to be found. He still managed to put a 72lb wahoo and a few kings with a couple bite offs on the deep bait. After the first couple hours things really slowed down so the decision was made to head back in and try a little bottom pounding along side Capt. Lyndon aboard the It Works who had been putting a hurting on since first light with several in the 4-5lb range. All I can say is I'm glad I ain't cleaning all them bass that got unloaded.
i heard that they weighed a 91 lb hooter down at Haddrell's in Charleston yesterday afternoon. looks as if there is some monsters roaming around down south here.
