Since there was a passionate response to my post about sailfish methods, I thought I'd go ahead and throw my idea for a new tournament out of OIB, NC up on this website as well. We're kicking around the idea of starting one next year, more than likely a charity tournament (to benefit American Cancer Society) with a TWT as well. Definitely don't want to do it in conflict with the Haneman tourney, and would also like to schedule it around local SKAs as well. Any takers out there? Would any of the boats who do the Wrightsville tourney be interested in upping the ante to go for the title of "undisputed southern NC sailfish champ?" Any suggestions on format or boundaries? I think there is substantial proof that we have the fishery to support such an event. What does everyone else think?
Yes, I think it would be a great idea. With all the Sailfish weve been seeing the last few years, should be a lot of fun.
Now if the wind would lay down tonight, I could get offshore for the CCA Rodeo tommorrow.
Oh yeah, here is small one we caught around the jungle some weeks back.
