ocean city saturday
most likely goin out of oc this weekend for tuna, bluefish or sharks. tryin to get some tips, reports rumors, anytthing will help. would most like to hook into a mako but is the water still too cold?

Fished an overnighter out of OC Monday/Tuesday. It is a long run to the warmer water. I think the water may be a bit cold for makos just yet. We fished between the washington and norfolk in about 1600 fathoms and found some 72 degree water holding plenty of mahi but no tuna bites. Good luck.

Waters still a lil too cold i am dieing to get out there my self but a few guys on here kinda talked me out of going this weekend that water still needs to warmup a lil. but if you go i hope you find the right water temp and you hook into a big Mako.

question about the bluefins though, down in nc during the trophy bft season the bft are right on shore almost, how cold is the water during this migration? i was thinkin it was in the low-mid 50's, well if it is the case there should be bft's out oc not too far right? another thing is that i heard the bluefish follow the shad and then the makos follow the bluefish, if this is true too there should be makos as close in as the jackspot right?

Sit down Shut up And fish
The rule of thumb I use on the makos is you need 60* water temps. It's just not there yet. Mid-50s is all I'm seeing.
