In Ocean City, MD, Most boats fished in-shore the last few days. The Hambone is covered up with Bluefish and there are BFT and Dorado at Masseys Canyon and at the Parking Lot. A few boats were successful targeting sharks, with Capt. Mark Sampson on the “Fish Finder” releasing 2 Atlantic Sharpnose Sharks, 1 Tiger Shark, 1 Blacktip Shark and 5 Spinner Sharks on June 23rd.
Offshore, my customers are telling stories of a huge weed line which has been producing the mass numbers of Mahi near the Poor Man's Canyon this past weekend. Several boats were successful on overnight trips including "Shelly II" was on an overnight trip and caught 24 yellowfin tuna and 2 longfin on June 21st.
Further north, the "Canyon Runner" out of NJ fished the Spencer Canyon and smoked the YFT, hooking 31 Yellowifin and 2 Makos on an overnighter.
There are fish to be caught right now so pack up your gear and get out if you can.
More to come on next report.
