OC Report 8/27
Sorry for the lack of reports lately, but here is my most recent
I ran the Last Call yesterday 8/27, as dad had an appointment he could not reschedule. Fished the Hot Dog and general vicinity thereof. 3 for 3 on BFT Killed a 96 lb fish 56" other 2 were released- similar size. 2 on WWB hoo with Black and Blue Bogwitch 1 on the planer with an all crystal islander. 3 for 3 on YFT 1 throwback 2 in the mid 30 inch range 1 wwb Blue/black 2 on the planer with the crystal. 2 young dolphin had to die for bothering my teasers while catching BFT #1 3 Falsies had to die so I can kill more baby dolphin. Water looked good, and there was a lot of bait. Most boats had bft bites, and most had yft bites as well. Larry on the Always Late had the best of the yft catching 8. I think average was 1 or none. On a side note, I had the pleasure of having Chris Hornung working my cockpit today. Chris' full time gig is on the Playmate, but Big Willie Styles loaned him to me for the day. All I can say is top notch- great with the people, great with the fish. Truly top shelf all the way. It was a split party/open boat/make up or whatever we are calling them these days, and each individual from the group came up to me at one time or another and said how much they enjoyed fishing with Chris- most fun they have ever had fishing was the general consensus. I am fishing the OCMC Labor Day Tourney starting tomorrow, this thing usually has good fishing, so hopefully I am putting up some whitey reports.
