Don't know of anyone chunking yet- there have been some fish caught trolling, but they are spread out between the bone, the sausages, massey's etc. There are yellowfin tunas south of the poormans on the hundred.

Last weekend there sounded like a lot of bluefish near the hotdog and sausages. I'm sure the Bluefins are still spread through the area, you'll just have to be purstistant and fight through the Blue's. We'll be out on Friday. Planning on going after the Yellowfins south of Poorman's or Maybe Washington.

FYI - Per Maryland's DNR website, it is unlawful to chunk for tuna before July 13th. (which falls after the OC tuna tournament).

I can,t find that rule on MD ,s DNR site , even though no one would be tuna fishing inside of MD state waters any way but the Tuna tourney players would like that one to be true .

It was a joke (sort of). Chunking before the Tuna Turnament is just frowned upon, not against the law.

I do know of a large BFT that was taken on the jig while chunking....a slightly closer more northern lump.
Chunking is always best at the LB or wash lumps right around the tuna tourney.
