Got a call from the owner, Curt Conley, of Reel Delight, the boat I was running out of Ocean City,Md. this morning. He really has no internet access so he asked that I report for him. He and his buddy Harry Morris decided to try sharking yesterday. I believe they were near the 20 fathom line when they decided to troll for some blues for bait. One of the rag mops they were dragging got whacked and instead of being a blue fish they were greeted by a 29" Blue fin. I'm guessing the first down there this season at least certainly their first. Good going guys...
John,
Just get an albie... Name it Deep C and I'll loan you a copy of my permit. also add 45 pounds, dye your hair dark, grow a a grey mustache and learn to swear in 37 languages so they don't ask any questions
Heard quite a few were caught, most smallies though. There was a few reports from the fishing center of some big boys mixed in. good luck whoever is throwing baits this weekend. Just wishin' I was fishin'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mako hunting that is!
Todd
thats great news deep c. its been a long wait up here for the season to get started, hopefully, it will get real hot real soon.
do you come up to oc and still run that boat out or do you stay in fla?
5 or 6 were brought into the fishing center today. Most were caught on the 20fa line b/t the fingers and marine electric.
Taking the family out tomorrow, my original plan was to go sharkin, but they dont want to do that, so i think i will "troll for bluefish" with cedars and some hoos
