    OC 7/26 & 7/26 Slow report

Started fishing the 30 line inside the Baltimore up to the Tea Cup on Saturday without a pull. Saw some bait but didn't mark many fish or hear of many being caught. Ran out to the Baltimore and found good concentrations of bait and some porpoises but no bites there either. Found some dolphins on a ball but couldn't get them to bite on the troll or on chunks of ballyhoo. My brother-in-law jumped in with his speargun and shot one mahi to get some blood on the deck. Picked up and ran to the hambone hoping to scratch out a tuna bite but no luck. Ended up trolling for 10 hours without a bite.
Sunday, fished the Hambone and Chicken Bone for a few hours. Marked a few fish on the bottom but no takers. Mid-day trolled into the fingers and got a few peanut dolphin before heading in. Weekend total - 4 dolphin, 0 tuna bites. Slow fishing for us but sounded like everyone was having a slow day. Guess we should have headed south...

It was very slow this past weekend. Many ended up without a pull. Hope it picks up this week.

    fishing report

Same here. No charters booked and no friends to go, so I went solo on Saturday. Started out between the the Fingers and the Hambone, trolled over the Bone and up to the Teacup. Marked nothing on the Bone but there were plenty of boats. Marked lots of fish on the Cup but were down deep (160 ft.) Trolled down to Massey's and marked several small schools in 50 ft. but no takers. Expensive boat ride. Any other time I would have trolled to the Hot Dog, but didn't. Tuna Dog hooked up a 350 lb. blue marlin and a couple of nice dolphin on the Sausages. Wouldn't you know it. Wrong place again!

We fished the 19 lump yesterday. No pulls on the chunk. Started trolling about 11 am. One pull resulted in one nice 80+ BFT. Several other boats reported catches around noon on Sunday.

    Eric,

Fri 7/25, we started SE of the Dog, pick up a suprise 50lb YFT at 8:00AM. Nothing thereafter. Trolled out to the West Wall of the Balt, then up toward the tip, nothing, ran back into the Hambone, fished until 5:00 PM. Again, nothing. At least we got the one fish.

    Green 74,

I had problems with slim buildup on my exhaust ports on my ouboard and started using Starbrite enzyme cleaner on the last 3 tanks of fuel and I don't have that slime anymore. They make it for gas and diesel. My engine has been running much better since. You might want to give it a try but I would check to see if it is compatable with your engine first. The guy that turned me on to it had a HPDI Yamaha.
