Went out to the Hot Dog with a crew of 5 on Tuesday for a rare weekday trip. 2 coworkers and a couple of fishing buddies. Put out a tuna spread with one horse on a planer and one on the wwb. Got our first bite 10 minutes after lines in and boated a 5 lb dolphin. 15 minutes later, got a big bite on the wwb and game was on. Unfortunately, due to some logistical issues, we didn't have any 80's on board so the wwb was a 50w with over half a spool dumped. Finally slowed her down with just a few wraps on the spool left. 2 1/2 hours later we sunk the steel into a nice over fish. High fives all around and set the spread back out (minus the wwb). Bled the tuna and couldn't find a way to get her in my wish box without doing surgery. Ended up putting it in the cabin in a wet towel with ice bags all around. The towel with half opened ice bags dripping actually kept the fish pretty cold. You could guess I am looking for a canyon bag now... Caught a few more small dolphin and headed to the barn to catch the 4:00 bridge. Fish was 67 inches and 159 at the scale.
