Seems like a lot of people on these forums must have some inside info on what is going to happen with NOAA policy. I read the whole document and there is not much said explicitly.

I hope that there is a more aggressive conservation and science minded approach taken. Our oceans have been treated like strip mines and sewers for way too long. The damage to fish populations in my lifetime is incredible! If my children want to catch eating size fish in 30 years something has to change. I hope the recreational community can mobilize in a productive manner to represnt a middle ground. Bashing won't help.

Look at the misinformation in the anti-cites bluefin tuna petition thread. We rec anglers should be in support of a Cites listing for the Atlantic bluefin. Such a listing would make it illegal to market, sell, trade bluefin tuna. Recreational take and consumption could continue. Based on the reaction, just maybe there was very little recreational take AND consumption of Atlantic Bluefin. Maybe the recs were just commercial fishing them under the guise of rec fishing? Such a shame.

It does sound like bashing , when we try to desribe a president & his cronies & the damage that they have set forth. Not much can be said good about this group that are in control.It's ashame that this is happening! It's hard to talk about obama and what he is doing to our Country for it not to sound like we are bashing him . No name calling , just the truth.
