What a frickin load of fish showed up off the coast of Oregon last week! After reading about light's out fishing on one of the boards over here for a week I lined up a buddy and fast forwarded to the oregon coast for a little albie action, and to say the least I am one wore out dude!!!
We launched out of a town called Garibaldi and were meet with a light and slight ocean just as the sun was coming up as I was putting the boat in one of the dogs I fish around walked over and gave me some crusher GPS #'s from the night before so we headed right to them. started out with a six rod spread with chuggerheads that I got off Deep C and birdies I got from Squidinator long on the outriggers and some zukers spread on the inside how I actually got six lines out I don't know because it was the only time all morning that happen!! So the fishing was as good as it gets period, the grade of fish 20 to 30 # average is unusual for this time of year as I am use to pulling peanuts early in the season{10 to15# average} and was surprised by the quality of fish. Anyway we ended up just fishing 2 rods almost right away since I couldn't even hardly get a second line out all morning had a couple occasion's were I was trying to get the 2nd rod hooked into the outrigger and the line was ripped right out of my hand tally was 19 fish in 3 hrs and the chatter on the radio was lights out all the way down the coast!
Thanx Deep and Squidinator it is always nice to add something new to the arsenial! Heard of a couple of spooled rods and garbage can boils so next trip I will be bringing the Deep Mamba's!!!PEACE
