Yesterday we decided to go hero or zero and the zilch won that battle... Set out a spread looking to see if we could coax up a blue one... Had a soft head chugger get pulled down blind but I'm guessing big dolphin. Never saw a point in the spread...
We let the sun go away and laid out the squidlies in hopes of a sword... On the way there we saw a "research" longliner setting outside of us...
Despite a five bait spread of mixed squid and live baits we never had a sniff during the 18 mile drift... The radio echoed the same. A few "radio checks" were all that broke the silence deep into the night. The fact that we never had a bite didn't hamper the fact we did have a good time. The plankton life and a triggerfish I netted around the hydroglow was kind of entertaining. Hard to believe how much life the stream there is...
Oh well gotta report the bad with the good...
