No reason to complain about the fishing this yr.

I hear guys complaining about the lack of yellowfin tuna this year but come on guys haven't we had a pretty stellar year though.
Everyone's concern was the price of fuel. As we sat and prayed for a great inshore bluefin tuna bite, boy did the fish gods answer our prayers. The inshore fishing has been the best I ever remember fishing or damn near close to it.
And the offshore canyon scene, well the marlin have been even more than cooperative to the fleet as well. Most of the marlin being caught are being seen inside 500 fathoms and in large numbers.
We can't really ask for much more out of the fish gods. Well I guess we can ask for a decent chunk bite from Sept. thru Nov. as along as the weather holds out.
Thanks for your time guys. Wishing everyone calms seas and tight lines.

    This is right on.

Most of the action this year has been in the 40 to 50 fathom range. And as stated the bluefin bite this year was great. I had a few days with almost double digit #s on 100+lb greazers.

Not to mention this has been a great year for the white ones. Im not complaining... Besides, who whants stinking tunerz when there bills around
