"No good deed goes unnoticed" - NC bluefin

As the saying goes, we were definitely rewarded for yesterdays good deed, at first light this morning. The fishing has been good for us the past few days, Saturday we caught an 87 incher and yesterday we caught an 84 incher. While we were trolling toward the afternoon hot spot yesterday, we came across a boat with two aboard, no tuna door, and one fat tuna hanging from there tower leg and stern cleat. They were struggling and just couldn't lift it the rest of the way. So we offered a hand, reeled in our lines, hopped aboard with a block and tackle, and got the fish in there cockpit.
This morning, about 4 minutes after we got the spread out, and as the horizon was becoming more visible, all three rods go off. With three of us on board, we landed all three fish in about an hour and 20 minutes. They were 97, 90, and 84 inches. We do appreciate the nearby boats cooperation in staying clear of our stretched lines. Good luck to the fleet.

    Thumbs up

WOW! And I thought catching a double header of 650's up north years ago was tricky.

Wow. If you wouldn't mind sharing, how did you approach a triple header of gbft? Not that it'll every happen to me, but a guy can dream, right?

    Congrats on quite an accomplishment!

That is impressive! It's nice to dream up here in the northeast...these posts can make a cold day up in NH go much faster.

    Great read - congrats!
