I have attached the following links I suggest after reading the msnbc article we all send Mr Menendez our thoughts, please be very professional.
Senator Menendez while I understand your recent concerns about offshore drilling, your concerns are not warranted, before jumping on the environmentalist band wagon, I recommend you travel to the gulf coast area to see what offshore drilling would bring to the state of New Jersey i.e. Jobs! You say that you are protecting New Jersey's environment and its gaming, tourism and hospitality industries. What will happen to these industries when gas prices reach 5 or 7 dollars a gallon? While I agree we need to look at other renewable energies, oil is still a necessity and we can not be short sighted. We need to get out from under foreign oil!

Offshore Exploration
A recent blurb I read about the marine industry:
I’m sure that I don’t need to tell you that our industry is in a downturn. There are plants closing or long term shut downs going on all over the country. There is little doubt that these problems have a lot to do with the cost of oil. In addition to our industry we are seeing similar problems with the airlines, trucking, the auto industry, etc, etc.
We can debate the reasons until hell freezes over but unless our country addresses the energy supply issue we are going nowhere. I have been writing letters to congressmen, senators, mayors, governors and to every other politician that I thought would listen. It’s clear to me that the environmental radicals have the Democratic Leadership in their pocket and they are attempting to block any attempt to bring on new sources of energy. By the way these are the same radicals that have been campaigning to shut down recreational fishing.
I would like to suggest that you take a few minutes and go to the web site for American Solutions (www.americansolutions.com). This organization has their act together and while I’m sure that there are other similar groups out there I’m convinced that if we support American Solutions we can make progress.
In addition if you agree with this cause please contact your elected representatives and demand that they support increasing the supply of US sourced energy starting with opening up offshore exploration for gas and oil. Bills are now pending in the House of Representatives to do this and the environmental radicals through their bought and paid for friends in Congress are fighting them tooth and nail.

I think Admin is going to let me have this space
Party line politics. They would rather see our economy crash entirely than give an inch to the republicans or upset the Geenies and socailists.
I would love to see what the oficial word from trade unions is on this. It could cause some drift ( the Republicans are too stupid to explore that avenue).
